skins-latest-chromium.zip is always the newest, at the same address. For tools: latest.json and SHA256SUMS. Only the current release is offered here.

To install it, see Install; to move to a new one, Update. Once Skins is in the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons, a store install updates by itself.

Changed

  • Skins moved to skins.dev. The extension talks to the new address; earlier versions can no longer sign in or sync, so update, then sign in again.

Changed

  • The side panel loads its screens from skins.bryo.ai, so they can improve without a new extension. If they can’t be reached, the panel shows the ones built into the extension.

Fixed

  • Signing out really signs you out: signing in again asks for your password instead of reusing the old sign-in.
  • If the server no longer accepts your sign-in, the side panel goes back to the sign-in page instead of failing quietly.
  • A clear message when “Allow User Scripts” is off, instead of a generic error.

Changed

  • Needs Chrome or Edge 135 or newer.

Changed

  • A smaller download: the extension ships compiled and minified (201 KB → 167 KB zipped; the recorder alone goes from 415 KB to 178 KB).

Changed

  • New projects start from the Layer Studio template on skins.bryo.ai, so the Studio can improve without a new extension.

Fixed

  • After an update, every one of your projects gets the new Studio, not only the ones you record into.

Changed

  • Agents read how to work in a project from one shared guide instead of a copy in every project.

Changed

  • Recordings keep the network traffic as it was recorded. Cookies, authorization headers and passwords in URLs are taken out when the recording is uploaded.

Added

  • Recordings include the page’s network traffic, with the data its API calls returned, lined up with the recording’s timeline.

Changed

  • Recording a tab shows Chrome’s “started debugging this browser” bar. Close it and the recording goes on without network.
  • If a tab can’t be recorded (DevTools is open on it, or it’s a chrome:// page), the side panel says why.

Changed

  • The Layer Studio has a new layout: recordings on the left with their comments, and a comment’s thread shown on the page beside its pin.

Added

  • The first versioned release, downloadable from skins.bryo.ai. The side panel shows the version.

Files are named skins-<version>-<target>.zip. The one target today is chromium: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera.

Versions are semver with an alpha tag while Skins is in alpha: 0.1.0-alpha.1, 0.1.0-alpha.2, and so on. Chrome shows the same version on its extensions page.
