Jira Cloud has no setting that switches off all of its promotions and upsells. The No upsells for Jira template hides them in your own browser, with no admin setting and no support ticket.
Steps
- In Skins Studio, open Explore, pick No upsells for Jira and click Create App.
- On Jira, open the Skins side panel from the browser toolbar. The skin is listed under On this page.
- Switch it on. Jira reloads with the promotions hidden.
What you get
- No Upgrade button in the top bar.
- No Recommended apps or “Try” tags in the sidebar.
- No “Record a Loom” above the summary, no Confluence card in the details column, and no Loom flag that names coworkers.
- A style rule keeps them hidden when Jira draws them again.
Limits
- It hides only what it sees in Jira’s web pages, in your browser.
- It doesn’t stop promotional emails.
- It doesn’t change what your colleagues see; each of them turns it on for themselves.
- If Atlassian adds a new kind of promotion, the template may need an update before it hides that one too.
Other options
- Site-level opt-out: Atlassian support switches promotions off for a site on request. Needs a support ticket.
- Organization-level opt-out: Atlassian plans one for later in 2026. Not available yet.
- Ask Atlassian: vote on the ticket.
