HubSpot tables sort by one column at a time. The Multi-column sort for HubSpot template sorts by up to three columns, such as owner and then last activity date, in your own browser, with no admin setting needed.

Steps

  1. In Skins Studio, open Explore, pick Multi-column sort for HubSpot and click Create App.
  2. On a HubSpot table, such as Contacts, open the Skins side panel from the browser toolbar. The skin is listed under On this page.
  3. Switch it on. A Sort bar appears at the end of the filter bar, above the table.
  4. Click a column header to sort by it, then click + Then by to add the next column.

What you get

  • A Sort bar on HubSpot’s index tables, with up to three sort levels.
  • Each sorted header shows its level number: 1, 2 or 3.
  • The bar lists each level with its direction (A→Z, newest first) and a × to remove it.
  • Dates sort newest first, text A→Z.
  • Rows move to their new places with a short animation.
  • For example: Contact owner, then Last activity date.

Limits

  • It sorts only the rows on the page you’re looking at. HubSpot loads one page at a time (25 rows by default); raise the page size, up to 100, to sort more.
  • It doesn’t change HubSpot’s saved view or the order of an export.
  • Up to three levels.
  • Only in your browser. Colleagues see the Sort bar only if they turn it on too.

Other options

  • Single-column sort plus filters: HubSpot’s own sort, narrowed with filters. One column at a time.
  • Export to Excel or Google Sheets: sort by as many columns as you like there. The sorted copy doesn’t update with HubSpot.
  • Several saved views: one view per sort order. Clunky to switch between.
  • Ask HubSpot: vote on the idea.
