HubSpot lets you choose which properties a deal card shows and colour a whole pipeline stage, but it can’t colour a single card by its own dates. The Deal card colours for HubSpot template colours overdue, stale and closing-soon deals on the board, in your own browser, with no admin setting and no workflow.
Steps
- In Skins Studio, open Explore, pick Deal card colours for HubSpot and click Create App.
- On your HubSpot Deals board, open the Skins side panel from the browser toolbar. The skin is listed under On this page.
- Switch it on. The board reloads with the cards coloured.
What you get
- A colour bar on the left edge of each open deal card, a soft tint and a short reason line.
- Red, “Close date passed N days ago”, when the close date is in the past.
- Amber, “No activity for N days”, when the last-activity chip is 14 days old or more.
- Blue, “Closes in N days”, when the close date is within 14 days.
- Red wins over amber, and amber over blue.
- Won and lost columns are left alone.
- A legend in the filter bar with a count for each colour.
Limits
- It reads only what each card shows: the Close date and the last-activity chip. Both must be visible on the card; you pick them in the board’s card settings.
- The rules and the 14-day thresholds are fixed in this template.
- It can’t colour by “customer replied last”: the board doesn’t show who sent the last email.
- Only in your browser. Colleagues see the colours only if they turn it on too.
- Open columns only.
Other options
- Deal Tags plus a workflow: a workflow sets a property and a Deal Tag shows it on the card. Workflows need a Pro plan or higher.
- Zapier or n8n: an automation sets a deal property that a Deal Tag or card property can show. Runs outside HubSpot, on the automation tool’s own plan.
