**Jira doesn't show sprint start and end dates next to your work items in List view. The Sprint dates for Jira template adds them as columns, in your own browser.**

## Steps

1. In Skins Studio, open **Explore**, pick **Sprint dates for Jira** and click **Create App**.
2. On Jira, open the **Skins** side panel from the browser toolbar. The skin is listed under **On this page**.
3. Switch it on. Jira reloads with the two columns.

## What you get

- Sprint start and Sprint end columns right after the Sprint column.
- Columns built from Jira's own cells, so they read like the columns around them.
- A work item carried over several sprints shows its latest sprint's dates.
- No admin rights, custom field, automation rule or paid app. Switch it off any time.

## Limits

- The dates are display only. You can't use them in JQL.
- Filters, quick filters, dashboards and automation rules can't key on them. That needs Atlassian.
- Only your browser shows them. Nothing changes for your colleagues.

## Other options

- **Automation rule**: copies the sprint end date into the due date or a custom field. Takes over that field, skips past work, can pick the wrong sprint on rollover.
- **Filters with typed dates**: the sprint dates written into the filter. Stale every sprint.
- **Marketplace app**: a paid add-on. You pay for a date Jira already stores.
- **Ask Atlassian**: vote on the ticket.
